Toyota's flagship car in the class hatcback Yaris reportedly managed to become the leader of the compact mobilmedium sales in the first quarter of 6880 units, with April sales contribute as much as 1566 units.
PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) as the holder of the Toyota brand in Indonesia, said that this is the highest first quarter sales record since the Yaris was launched.
This achievement was also claimed as a complement to the success of Toyota's sales in the period from January to April amounted to 106,664 units, up 14.4% compared to same period previous year.
"We are grateful Yaris achievements during the first quarter of 2011 gave encouraging results with the market leader in its class, this shows the Yaris increasingly accepted by consumers and the community," said Johnny Darmawan, President Director of PT. Toyota-Astra Motor.
With this achievement, further confirms that the products just got an additional predicate as car choice in the arena of women in Indonesia Kartini Brand Choice Award 2011 it received a positive response from the market.
